How do I become a Bunnies in Baskets Visiting Rabbit Team?
In order to become a certified Visiting Rabbit Team (VRT), you and your rabbit(s):
- Participate in an online "Visiting Rabbit Experience" class. We are a nation-wide organization and can certify-register throughout the United States. Future classes will be held August - January.
- Pass a veterinarian evaluation
- Rabbit(s) must be a minimum age of 6 weeks. There is no maximum age!
We also require prospective BIB VRTs to perform 2 hours of supervised visits at a facility of their choice. For example, you can request that an activities director in an assisted living facility supervise you and your rabbit(s) while you make your first few visits. Once you have completed the class, two hours of supervised visits, and veterinarian evaluation, you are eligible for certification/registration through our organization.
The forms are only available through the class.
