Bunnies in Baskets is a 501c3 non-profit, public charity which opened its doors in October 2009, serving up some love to the Portland area ever since. Bunnies in Baskets offer people-positive, emotional and physical experiences through visits with highly socialized, “human curious,” and affectionate rabbits.
RULES OF IN THE BURROW:
1. Everybunny is welcome! The bunnies love people of all ages,
but for everybun's safety children must be accompanied by an adult. All persons attending an event need to buy a ticket in advance!
2. Petting encouraged! The bunnies love being pet from the tops of their heads and down their backs. They have a blind spot in front of their noses and do not like hands in their faces, so please don't put your fingers where they can be mistaken for carrots!
3. Cuddle away! If you would like to hold a bunny during your visit, just let us know- the bunnies feel safest when they know the people picking them up, so let us get them ready for you while you settle in to one of our comfy snuggle chairs.
4. Please don't feed the bunnies. We LOVE and greatly appreciate any donations of lettuce/cilantro/parsley/hay and they will be given to happy and grateful bunnies at their feeding time in the evening. Some of our bunnies have extra-sensitive tummies and we need to monitor what they are given. Also, we don't want any nips from bunnies looking for snacks!
5. Have fun!!
